Among Us – Strategy Game

The principle of the online game is comparable to that of the popular card games “Werewolves” or “Mafia”:
A crew on a spaceship is trying to repair its equipment. But so-called “impostors”, in English “fraudsters” or “impostors”, have also mixed with the team. While the members of the crew have to reconnect cables by means of various mini-games, fend off meteorites or refuel engines, the “impostors” try to sabotage the work in the spaceship and kill crew members. The tasks are interrupted by discussion groups in which the players exchange ideas, suspect each other and then vote on who should be eliminated from the game. Once the team has done all of their work, they have won the game. The goal of the “Impostor”, however, is to be the last one left on the spaceship and not to be exposed as saboteurs.
Four to ten players can take part in a “Among Us” round. The roles are drawn at the beginning of the game. Whoever opens a game as a host can use numerous settings to design the game in different ways: For example, the number of “Impostors” can be adjusted, the difficulty of the mini-games increased or the frequency of the discussion groups determined. The constellations of different players and playing styles ensure a different dynamic for each round. Most games last around ten minutes – but that can also vary widely.
“Among Us” is available free of charge as an app or for just under four euros as a computer version to download, so that friends can play together with a wide variety of devices.
